Donna & Luke at Irnham Hall

On Saturday 23rd June I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Donna & Luke at Irnham Hall near Grantham. I’d never photographed a wedding at Irnham Hall before so I was particularly excited for Donna & Luke’s big day.  Irnham Hall itself dates back to 1380 and is home to Jamie, Leila and their children.  Jamie and Leila were on hand all day to make sure everything ran smoothly and what a great job they did.  The village itself is one of the most beautiful stone villages in Lincolnshire.  Along with the hall there is the The Griffin Read More

Jess & Kristain at Chippenham Park

On Sunday June 3rd I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jess & Kristain at Chippenham Park. If you believe in fate you’ll have absolutely no doubt that these two were meant to be together.  They would never have met if hadn’t been for that infamous volcanic eruption (Eyjafjallajökull) in 2010.  The one that grounded over 95,000 flights over the course of a 6 day flight ban.  As a result they met at at an airport where they were stuck – unable to get to Turkey where they were headed and ended up chatting away.  The rest is Read More

Abbie & Brett at The Old Hall

On Saturday 2nd June I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding on Abbie and Brett at The Old Hall near Ely. Abbie & Brett don’t do things by halves.  This year has seen new jobs, moving home and there was the small matter of getting married!  It was clear to me that they have the love and support of two wonderful families so I’m sure all these major events are just a walk in the park for them.  Their wedding day was a lovely occasion.  Always special for me when I start the day in my home town, with Read More

Lauren & Brady at Rutland Water Golf Club

On Saturday 26th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Lauren & Brady at Rutland Water Golf Club. I used to play a lot of (too much?) golf.  And in all the years I played, I never knew this course existed until Lauren & Brady booked me to photograph their big day there.  Like all good boy scouts I like to be prepared.  So the day before the wedding I had a drive over to the course where the very friendly staff gave my a buggy so I could check out some good spots for pictures.  By Read More

Lauren & Tom at The Old Hall

On Saturday 19th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Lauren & Tom at The Old Hall near Ely.  Most of the country will remember May 19th 2018 for a royal wedding.  But for those of us fortunate enough to be at The Old Hall on the day we’ll remember it for an equally special wedding, that of Lauren & Tom.  And I felt very honoured when they chose me to photograph their big day as Lauren’s dad Steve is my friend and fellow wedding photographer and I’d also had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Tom’s Read More

Jen & Chris at Sheene Mill

On Saturday 28th April I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jen & Chris at Sheene Mill in the village Melbourn near Royston.   It had been six years since I’d last photographed a wedding at Sheene Mill so I was excited to be going back again.  It’s a beautiful 16th century mill house with lovely gardens landscaped around the mill pond, including resident swan, who spent the whole day watching me with a suspicious eye.  On the subject of birds Jen and Chris brought their own.  One thousand origami cranes!  Here’s what Wikipedia has to say on Read More

Jemma & Steve at The Haycock Hotel

On Sunday May 6th I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jemma & Steve at The Haycock Hotel in wansford.  I was delighted when Jemma & Steve asked me to photograph their wedding.  I’d shot Jemma’s brother’s wedding (Daniel & Lauren) in August 2016 and I knew what a great bunch they all were.  The wedding was going to be great fun to be a part of.  And it sure was. The morning started in the bridal suite with the bride and an excited bunch of bridesmaids.  Meanwhile Steve and the groomsmen met my second Vaida in the Read More

Jess & Soha at Orton Hall Hotel

On Saturday 5th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jess and Soha at Orton Hall Hotel in Peterborough.  Some serious mileage was clocked up for this big day.  With Jess’ family coming from Peru and Scotland and Soha’s dad making the trip from Korea it was a truly global event.  The couple themselves live up the road in central Peterborough and I was delighted when they chose me to photography their wedding.  I’ve shot many at Orton Hall and it’s always a venue I look forward to going back to.   The day was really relaxed Read More

Abi & Kevin at The Old Hall

On Sunday April 29th I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Abi & Kevin at The Old Hall near Ely. I loved shooting Abi & Kevin’s big day.  Such a lovely couple, who were joined by a great group of friends and family.  I think Abi was a little nervous about the day to come but as Alison did her make-up she did her best to hide it.  It helped that the bride-to-be was joined by a fun bunch of bridesmaids who provided plenty of laughs to help keep Abi calm.  While the girls were getting ready my Read More

Becky & Martin at The Old Hall Ely.

On Easter Monday I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Becky & Martin at The Old Hall Ely. Driving over to Ely on the morning of the wedding I feared the worst.  Two days previously I’d shot a wedding where it had rained pretty much all day.  And the forecast hadn’t changed much.  With the beautiful lakes and grounds at The Old Hall I would have felt awful if we couldn’t get some snaps outdoors.  Thankfully, when it mattered the rain stopped and we got the shots outside we wanted.  Sure it was muddy, but if the bride Read More
