Katherine & Luke

On Saturday 9th September I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Katherine and Luke. As a wedding photographer it’s hard not to become obsessed with the weather forecast.  The threat of rain was on my mind and I knew how important it was to Katherine that I was able to get them outside for photos.  So after the girls were all ready, we headed off to St Leonard’s church in Leverington to meet Luke and the boys ready for the service.  And as I feared the heavens opened.  Katherine dashed from the car to the church as the Read More

Cherry-Jae & Adrian at The Bull Hotel

On Friday 1st September I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Cherry-Jae & Adrian at The Bull Hotel in Peterborough. There’s something special about shooting a wedding at the Bull Hotel.  There’s no grounds at the venue so as a photographer I have to think a little outside the box in terms of how I go about getting some special shots of the bride and groom.  On this occasion the newlyweds made it easy.  I suggested going for a “walk-about” in the city centre and they were all for it!  With the bridesmaids coming along too we had Read More

Emma & Matt at Stoke Rochford Hall

On Wednesday 2nd August I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Emma & Matt at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham. I’ve always said that if I was to get married I’d like it to be a small, intimate affair with just my closest loved ones.  And that’s exactly what Emma & Matt chose for their big day.  With the bride, groom and 14 close family it was one of the smaller weddings I’ve shot, but certainly no less special. Emma got ready with her mum, Elaine, in the bridal suite and along with the make-up artist and hair-stylist Read More

Amy & Ryan at The Haycock

On Friday 18th August I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Amy & Ryan at The Haycock in Wansofrd near Peterborough. I was looking forward to Amy & Ryan’s big day as it was one of those rare weddings where I felt I knew many of the stars of the show before I started.  Amy had been bridesmaid for Natalia a couple of months previously so I’d got to know some of the gang then.  This time Natalia was bridesmaid for Amy, and Leanne had been bridesmaid for both.  They were brilliant fun last time and they certainly Read More

Nikita & Will at the Falcon in Fotheringay

On Saturday 5th August I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Nikita & Will at The Falcon in Fotheringay. I’d not shot a wedding at The Falcon before so a couple of days before the wedding I went for a bit of a location scout around the village.  With my nieces in tow we found a couple of great spots including the ruin of Fotheringay Castle, the final residence of Mary Queen of Scots who was tried and executed there in 1587. Thankfully no-one was being tried (or executed) on this particular occasion.  Instead two lovely people were Read More

Kara & Lee at St Wendreda’s

On Saturday 29th July I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Kara & Lee. Kara, Lee and little Joshua are a lovely family and they’d book me to shoot their big day nearly two years before when Joshua was just a small baby.  Now a big boy he was all ready to lead his mum down the aisle. Kara and the girls got ready at the family home while Lee and the groomsmen spent the morning at mum’s house.  The girls travelled in style, a beautiful horse drawn carriage which made the short trip to St Wendreda’s church Read More

Sarah & Steven at Stoke Rochford Hall

On Friday July 28th I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Sarah & Steven at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham. When I arrived at Stoke Rochford Hall on the morning of the wedding I found Steven showing his friends his brand new motor cross bike that he’d treated himself too.   I knew that both him and his number one fan (Sarah) would get a lot of joy out of the bike as he would be allowed to ride again after the wedding.  He’d refrained from riding before the wedding as he wanted to avoid being in a Read More

Kirsty & Matthew at Whaplode Manor

On Thursday 27th August I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Kirsty & Matthew at Whaplode Manor. Simply put, Kirsty, Matthew (Math), Lewis and Ruby are one of the loveliest families I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.  Loving parents and two great kids, what more could you ask for in life.   And their family and friends were equally great and were clearly thrilled to see the newlyweds tie the knot after being together for so many years. Kirsty got ready at home with the bridesmaids, mum and daughter Ruby.  Football loving ruby was never going Read More

Emma & Justin at Anstey Hall

On Saturday July 22nd I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding on Emma & Justin at Anstey Hall in Cambridge. Some weddings are quite traditional in their approach.  And some less so. Emma & Justin’s big day was far from traditional.  With Emma being a Disney loving actress and Justin being into loads of great “boy stuff” such as Star Wars, super-heroes and Lego, this was never going to be a “normal” day at the office for this particular wedding photographer. From the outset I realised just how much Emma loved Disney.  Her shoes were gold in colour and Read More

Natalia & Bud at Longstowe Hall

On Saturday 24th June I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Natalia & Bud at Longstowe Hall. Another fantastic wedding with another lovely couple.  The day started in my home town of Chatteris with Natalia getting ready on one side of the street and Mark just over the road with his parents, family and groomsmen.  My second photographer Paul joined the boys while I spent the morning with Natalia, mum and the bridesmaids.  The girls were great fun and were clearly excited about the day to come.  While I was with the girls a gift arrived from Bud Read More
