On December 28th I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Zoe & Matt at Barnsdale Hall near Rutland Water.
I love a Christmas wedding! Everyone is always happy and upbeat on wedding days, but then you get the extra buzz from Christmas too. It’s the perfect recipe for a fab atmosphere, and Zoe & Matt’s big day certainly didn’t disappoint.
There were so many highlights during the day. Imogen’s speech at the end of the ceremony was brilliant, I loved the way she used various chocolates to emphasise her words. When she said Zoe Matt should let her stay up “After Eight” I found myself laughing too much to hold the camera steady!
Matt’s good friend Ricky Locke did double-duty as both guest and entertainer as he wowed everyone with his fantastic magic tricks. Two weeks later and I’m still scratching my head as to how he got the newlyweds to pick several random numbers which happened to be 28-12-2019. Incredible!
Zoe & her dad got the evening party underway with the traditional father-daughter dance. At least it was traditional for a while, then halfway through they broke out into an amazing dance routine! Well done dad, no one can accuse you of lame “dad dancing”. As if that wasn’t enough, after Zoe & Matt’s first dance Imogen & Zoe lead the hen party girls in another amazing choreographed routine! It was fantastic to watch and must have been a lovely surprised for Matt.
Zoe & Matt are a great couple and it was an honour to be a part of their big day. Wishing them all the very best for the future. I hope you enjoy this small selection of pictures from the day…..
