On Wednesday 2nd August I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Emma & Matt at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham.
I’ve always said that if I was to get married I’d like it to be a small, intimate affair with just my closest loved ones. And that’s exactly what Emma & Matt chose for their big day. With the bride, groom and 14 close family it was one of the smaller weddings I’ve shot, but certainly no less special.
Emma got ready with her mum, Elaine, in the bridal suite and along with the make-up artist and hair-stylist we all had a good laugh and lots of fun as Emma was transformed into a beautiful bride. Meanwhile Matt got ready with his dad and best-man, Sam, and my second (Liz) joined them for some getting-ready photos.
The service took place in the beautiful orangery and I was delighted the registrar let me capture the most important part of the day. Afterwards there was plenty of time for drinks, nibbles, mingling and photos before the wedding breakfast.
The meal concluded with some lovely speeches from Elaine, Matt & Sam. The newlyweds then joined Liz and I as we took a short drive to the lake for a few more pictures. By the time we got back to the hall some of the evening guests were beginning to arrive. Some of Emma & Matt’s closest friends joined them in time for the cake cutting and first-dance.
Emma & Matt’s wedding was a lovely occasion and a real honour to be a part of. Wishing them all the very best for the future. Thanks for including me in your special day. I hope you enjoy this small selection of pictures from the day…..
