On Saturday 22nd April I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jess & Jon at Lakeside Lodge.
With wedding season in full swing this was another lovely occasion with a great couple and a fantastic bunch of friends and family. The day started at mum’s house in March where Jess, the bridesmaids and family (and the cat and dragon) all got ready for the day ahead. The weather was perfect so Jess and her dad made the trip to church on foot, St John’s was just 200 yards up the road! Waiting for his wife to be was Jon who had spent the morning with the best-man, ushers and his family at the couple’s home across town.
After a lovely service and some family photos the newlyweds jumped in a vintage Jag and made the drive over to Lakeside Lodge golf course for the reception. There was plenty of time for photos, drinks and lots of mingling before the wedding breakfast in a beautifully decorated room which overlooked the 18th hole of the course. The perfect evening sunlight made for some great pictures for the happy couple and before I knew it it was time for the first dance. Like most weddings the day had gone by in a flash!
Jess and Jon’s wedding was a lovely, relaxed day and was it was an honour to be a part of. Wishing the new Mr & Mrs Theobald all the very best for the future. I hope this small section of pictures helps tell the story…..
