On Friday March 23rd I had the pleasure of photographing Kelly & Sabrina’s wedding in Cambridge.
I’m sure I’ve said it before but these two are clearly crazy about each other. And being a part of their day was a huge honour. The day started at Shire Hall in Cambridge where I met Kelly and her family waiting for Sabrina and her folks. Sabrina’s mum and dad had made the trip from Canada for the big day and, after a long journey, suddenly the moment had come when the girls would tie the knot. Sabrina couldn’t hold back the tears as she met Kelly at the front on the aisle. And her happy tears kept rolling pretty much all day!
After the service Kelly, Sabrina and 24 of their closest friends and family walked down to Quayside to go punting on the Cam. It was great fun and the weather was kind to us. I love to shoot a newlywed couple as they walk through a busy city like Cambridge. The reactions from passers by is fun to watch and (in Cambridge) you’re usually guaranteed to get one or two cyclist zooming past.
After punting it was off to the Pickerel Inn for a drink and some time to chill out with the guests. The pub was in the ideal spot, directly opposite Magdalene college where the remainder of the day was spent. It was a beautiful spring afternoon and their was plenty of time for pictures and drinks by the iconic Pepys building. For me the day finished photographing the speeches; emotionally charged and funny it was the perfect end to a fantastic day.
Wishing Kelly and Sabrina all the best for the future. I hope you enjoy this selection of pictures…..
