On Saturday 24th June I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Natalia & Bud at Longstowe Hall.
Another fantastic wedding with another lovely couple. The day started in my home town of Chatteris with Natalia getting ready on one side of the street and Mark just over the road with his parents, family and groomsmen. My second photographer Paul joined the boys while I spent the morning with Natalia, mum and the bridesmaids. The girls were great fun and were clearly excited about the day to come. While I was with the girls a gift arrived from Bud for his wife-to-be. It was the biggest gift I’d ever seen and now it was my turn to get excited as I was sure it was a snooker table. Sadly I was wrong and it was in fact a beautiful painting of a coastline, Natalia loved it!
The service took place at St Peter & St Paul’s church in town and then it was off to Longstowe Hall for the remainder of the day. It was a lovely relaxed afternoon with time for drinks, mingling and photos while listening to an excellent singer/guitarist. It was a beautiful day and so lovely to get outside in the sunshine.
The wedding breakfast started with a traditional Polish Bread & Salt ceremony which included the drinking of either a shot of vodka or plain water. The couple don’t get told which is vodka and which is water but judging from Natalia’s reaction I’m pretty sure she got the vodka! The speeches concluded the wedding breakfast and they were brilliant. Best man Sam had everyone in stitches, mostly at Bud’s expense.
For me the day ended with the first dance. An excellent band had everyone up on the dance floor and the party was in full swing. It was the end of a really lovely day with a great bunch of people. Wishing Natalia & Bud all the very best for the future. I hope this selection of pictures brings back lots of happy memories of a wonderful day….
