On Saturday 9th January I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Sarah & Stephen at Hinchingbrooke House in huntingdon.
This was another great wedding to shoot with a fantastic couple and their lovely family and friends. Hinchingbrooke House is one of my favourite venues and whilst it wasn’t the time of year to be frolicking in the rose garden there is always plenty of great spots for photos, both indoors and out. I met Sarah and her family at the venue for some getting ready pictures and then it was off to the church in Great Staughton for the service. The vicar told me I had to remain at the back of the church to take photos but at least she let me capture the special occasion.
It was a chilly day and daylight was disappearing fast, so straight after the service the couple led their guests back to Hinchingbrooke House so we could get some pictures around the grounds before it got too dark. And of course when it did get dark it was great fun to get the sparklers out, something which everyone seems to enjoy and produces some great pictures. The couple were great in front of the camera and were happy for me to try out a few different things while I was conscious of not letting Sarah’s dress get too muddy!
Sarah & Stephen’s big day was a great occasion and an honour to be a part of. Wishing them all the very best for the future as husband and wife. As I type this they are enjoying their honeymoon in Brugge (while I’m suffering from man-flu!) and I can’t wait to show them the blog……
With thanks to Liz for being my second photographer.
