Kelly & David

This was a fun wedding to shoot!   Thanks to a vintage Routemaster bus, it was a real tour of the fens too!  For me the day started off at Kelly’s mum’s house on the outskirts of Manea. In fact I was there before the bride, so while she was having her hair done with daughter Grace, I chatted to mum, got used to the dogs and got a few pictures of the couple’s son Isaac.  Having got to know the children at the couple’s pre-wedding shoot I thought I might have my hands full with little Isaac but to Read More

Sarah-Jayne & Chris at The Thatch Barn

On Saturday 28th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Sarah-Jayne & Chris at The Thatch Barn, Yelling. Sarah-Jayne and the bridesmaids got ready at the couple’s home in Buckden.  Poor Catherine managed the whole day brilliantly with a broken leg while Steph helped Sarah-Jayne  with all the physical stuff (like putting on shoes and garters).  Meanwhile Chris got ready at his mum’s home, just over the road from the church in the village.  At this point I probably should mention the I am possibly the only person in the world who calls Chris “Chris”.  Everyone else Read More

Jenny & Jason at Wyboston Lakes

On Saturday May 7th I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jenny & Jason at Wyboston Lakes near St Neots. I got to know Jenny and Jason at their pre-wedding shoot in Cambridge earlier in the year.  I could tell then that photographing their big day was going to be great fun.  And it certainly was.  Jason is a really funny guy and I think Jenny will spent the rest of her life laughing! On the big day I met up with Jenny and the bridesmaids at the venue.  They were relaxed, and if Jenny was nervous she Read More

Rachael & Max at Hinchingbrooke House

On Saturday 14th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Rachael & Max at Hinchingbrooke House in Huntingdon. I’m sure I’ve said this before about some of the couples I’ve photographed, but boy are these two crazy about each other.  I mean seriously!  From the lovely words they spoke during the vows, the emotion, laughter, loving gestures, kisses and the fact they just don’t leave each other alone.  Certainly true love found its way to Hinchingbrooke House on this particular wedding day.  And I was lucky enough to capture it. I’ve spoke before about the venue, it’s Read More

John & Louise at the Cambridge Doubletree Hilton.

On Sunday 8th May I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of John & Louise at the Cambridge Doubletree Hilton. Phew, what a scorcher!!  This was the third wedding I’d shot over this glorious May weekend and it was certainly the hottest of the three.  Regular readers will know I like to moan about the weather but I didn’t really have anything to grumble about on this particular occasion.  I suppose I prefer the light to be a little less harsh but that’s me being fussy.  For John & Louise I’m sure they were thrilled as it allowed them Read More

Jo & Matt at The Old Bridge Hotel

On Saturday 16th April 2016 I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jo & Matt at The Old Bridge Hotel. Anyone who’s ever read my blogs before will know that the I’m always on about the weather.  It’s never right of course, too wet, too windy, too bright, too dull, too hot, too cold.  You name it, I’ll moan about it.  And Jo & Matt’s wedding was one of those where I had my eye on the forecast constantly before the big day.  And the forecast wasn’t good.  Pretty much rain all day.  Thanks Mother Nature! But despite the Read More

Heather & Michael at The Old Hall

On Saturday 2nd April I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Heather & Michael at The Old Hall near Ely. This was another lovely wedding to shoot, with a great couple and their fabulous family and friends.  In the morning of the big day I met up with Heather, her three bridesmaids and mega cute flower girl at Heather’s parent’s house in the village of Bluntisham.    The girls were great fun and if Heather was nervous she didn’t show it.   While I was with the girls my second photographer, Paul met Mike and the groomsmen at the Read More

Kate & Daniel at Quy Mill

On Saturday February 27th I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Kate & Daniel at Quy Mill near Cambridge. I really enjoyed this late winter wedding at a venue I’d not been to for a couple of years.  Kate & Daniel are a lovely couple and their day was spent with a great group of friends and family.  It was chilly (the wind made it worse) and I felt bad for the wedding party when they went outside for the family photos.  Fortunately Kate has Northern roots and didn’t moan once about the cold!  I can put up Read More

Becky & Pete at The Old Hall

On Saturday January 2nd I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Becky & Pete at The Old Hall near Ely. The first of nearly 50 weddings in 2016 got off to a great start straight after the Christmas break with a wedding at another of my favourite venues, The Old Hall.  Having got to know the couple and Pete’s two children at their pre-wedding shoot in Newmarket I couldn’t wait to shoot the big day itself.  On the morning of the wedding I met up with Becky at her mum’s house in Fordham where she was getting ready Read More

Sarah & Stephen at Hinchingbrooke House

On Saturday 9th January I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Sarah & Stephen at Hinchingbrooke House in huntingdon. This was another great wedding to shoot with a fantastic couple and their lovely family and friends.  Hinchingbrooke House is one of my favourite venues and whilst it wasn’t the time of year to be frolicking in the rose garden there is always plenty of great spots for photos, both indoors and out.  I met Sarah and her family at the venue for some getting ready pictures and then it was off to the church in Great Staughton for the service.
