On Sunday June 6th I had the honour of shooting the wedding of Becky & Floyd at The Granary Estates near Newmarket.
Alpacas!! I’ve been lucky enough to see some amazing animals at weddings. Dogs, cats, cows, owls, giraffes, but never Alpacas. And what wonderful creatures they are! When Becky told me they would be special guests at the wedding I never imagined they’d be going for a walk with the newly weds!
The whole day was a lovely intimate occasion (guest limits due to Covid) at a brilliant venue. Granary Barns was one of those venues that I was beginning to think I’d never go to. This was my first, and as fate would have it I went there again two weeks later! The rustic nature of the barn and the beautiful countryside were perfect!
The day was a joy to be a part of. Jamie (guest & magician) entertained everyone with his magic, a caricaturist drew everyone and there was roasted marshmallows to finish the day off. The only dancing allowed was the first dance but it was fantastic to watch as a confetti canon covered the couple half-way through. It was a brilliant day and an honour to play a part.
