Lauren & Lewis

On Saturday 5th June I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Lauren & Lewis.

I was thinking about my blogs earlier and I wondered if I could write a blog in less than 4 million words. I mean, surely all anyone wants to do is see the pictures right? So here goes…

It was an amazing day, wall to wall sunshine and the most amazing people! Only 30 guests (covid rules) but with many friends there to cheer them on at Doddington church. I think most of Lauren’s work mates skived off that afternoon!

After church it was over to Lewis’ parents home for a wedding festival in the garden. A tippee was set up for dancing and a fabulous wooden bar in the corner kept everyone topped-up. During the speeches a fantastic montage of messages on the TV had everyone in tears as guests who couldn’t be there sent their best wishes. And then there was the singalong the stag-do guys did, dressed in their Freddie Mercury t-shirts and singing “It Must be Love” by Madness. Brilliant!

The evening sunlight was perfect for photos and we got to photograph at the couple’s wedding night accommodation (a vintage railway carriage!) and a beautiful meadow over the road from the party. And then it was back to the garden to enjoy the rest of the evening…..

Lauren and Lewis are a lovely couple and I was honoured to play a part in their big day. Wishing them all the very best for the future as husband and wife. I think the pictures will tell the story far better than I can, enjoy….
