On Saturday 20th April I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Eilish & Billy at The Haycock Hotel in Wansford.
I’ve had the honour of photographing nearly 500 weddings to date. And I’m pretty sure Eilish & Billy have been guests at approximately 97% of them (possible exaggeration). So you can imagine how delighted I was to see them take centre stage for their special day.
Eilish & Billy are a lovely couple and made the perfect bride and groom. They were great fun and so easy to work with. I know Billy would have rather been playing rugby, but despite that he made for a very dapper groom. And whilst Eilish can sometimes be seen in a football kit, she looked amazing in her dress. I was also really thrilled to see their adorable dog Alfred make a special guest appearance. He was certainly excited to see his humans and was more than a little overwhelmed by all the people to see (and smell!). Somehow we managed a couple of family photos with him before the excitement got too much.
The Haycock is a great venue in a beautiful village. I love shooting weddings there and spending some time with the couple on (and under) the bridge by the river. Once again I took one of my favourite photos of the couple under the bridge and any day I don’t fall in the Nene is a good day.
Eilish & Billy’s big day was a fantastic wedding to be a part of. A great couple with a fun bunch of family and friends, what more can you ask for? Wishing the new Mr & Mrs Dean (and Aflred!) all the very best for the future. I hope you enjoy this small selection of photos which will tell the story of the day far better than I ever could….
