On Thursday September 5th I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Fran & Martyn at Ravenwood Hall near Burry St Edmunds.
I first met Fran & Martyn when Martyn was best man for my friends Jack & Mandy back in 2017. Two years later and the boys were swapping places as Fran and Martyn tied the knot.
I’d never shot a wedding at Ravenwood Hall before. It’s a beautiful 16th century Tudor hotel and has some beautiful grounds which were ideal for me as a photographer. Martyn & the couple’s mega-cute son Isaac arrived in his beloved mini. Both he and Fran’s dad Richard are mini enthusiasts and it was great to see their cars at the wedding.
Before I got to the venue, I headed into Bury St Edmunds to meet Fran and her sister Laura getting ready at home. The girls were joined by hundreds of frogs and the cat. It was a really relaxed couple of hours and great fun. Once the girls were ready Fran’s dad took his daughter to the wedding, and you can guess which type of car she travelled in.
Fran, Martyn and little Isaac are a lovely family and it was real honour to photograph their big day. They were joined by a great bunch of family and friends and the weather was perfect. I’ll let theese photos tell the rest of the story of such a fantastic day…
