Washingborough Hall wedding

Joanna & Rory at Washingborough Hall

On Saturday 7th September I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Joanna & Rory at Washingborough Hall near Lincoln.

As always, I was very honoured when Joanna & Rory asked asked me to photograph their big day. I’d shot the weddings of her two cousins (Emma & Rachel) and this was to be the hatrick! I met up with the three girls along with best friend Katie and mum Debbie for the “getting ready” part of the day. As I expected, they were great fun.

I’d never photographed a wedding at Washingborough Hall before so I was excited to be going to a new venue. It’s a beautiful setting for a wedding and the staff there were brilliant. Of course it always helps when it’s a beautiful sunny day and everyone can be outside enjoying the weather.

One of the highlights of the day for me was the surprise everyone had in store for the newlyweds. As they were announced into the dining room for the wedding breakfast everyone greeted them wearing Harry Potter glasses. Joanna & Rory are obviously big fans and the surprise had them in stitches.

The final surprise of the day was seeing Debbie sing for her daughter as the evening party got underway. It was a special moment and lovely to witness.

Joanna & Rory’s big day was an honour to be a part of. The newlyweds are a lovely couple and they were joined by a great bunch of family and friends. Wishing them all the very best for the future. I hope you enjoy this small selection of pictures from an amazing day….
