On Saturday 17th July I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Hannah & Matt at Sibson Inn near Peterborough.
If Covid hadn’t come along I would never have photographed Hannah and Matt’s big day. They would have married 5000 miles away in Mexico! I was originally booked to photograph their wedding reception/knees up here in the UK. But then the world changed, and Hannah & Matt decided on a UK wedding at the Sibson Inn instead.
On the day everything went smoothly, the girls were ready in plenty of time and excited for the day to come. When I say “smoothly” that is, until the car with the page boys and Matt’s mum got lost. But all credit to Hannah, with the drama going on I couldn’t believe how calm and relaxed she remained. I’m sure many people would have been climbing the walls, but not Hannah. She was coolness personified! And so after a 30 minute wait the ceremony went ahead, Hannah & Matt became husband and wife and the rest of the day went to plan.
The Sibson Inn is a lovely venue and on a beautiful summer’s day like this one I’m always excited to take the couple out into the meadow for photos. Hannah and Matt were great fun and they were a joy to spend the day with. Even on a blisteringly hot day like today, they didn’t complain and I think they enjoyed being out in the meadow for photos.
Wishing Hannah and Matt all the very best for the future. I hope you enjoy this small selection of pictures from a fab day!
