Back in November 2022 I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ingrid & Steve at Smeetham Hall Barn
I’d never been to Smeetham Hall Barn before and was excited to be going somewhere new. And wow, what an amazing venue. I love a barn wedding and this 500 year old barn is as wonderful as they come. The venue is just over the Suffolk Border into Essex. It’s run by a lovely family who didn’t tell me off when I took everyone to a spot I shouldn’t have! It makes my life so much easier when the staff at a venue are relaxed and easy-going and ultimately want the same thing as me – to ensure the couple have the most fantastic day!
Of course a wedding is nothing without an amazing couple. Ingrid and Steve are just that. The day was full of fun and laughter all day long. Ingrid had the biggest smile you’ve ever seen all day long and the bridal party and guests were clearly having a blast too. Ingrid had spoken to me several times before the day about her preferences and I did my best to ensure the day went to plan, including helping her pick the best possible smoke bombs so the pictures looked amazing!
It was a real treat to play a part in Ingrid & Steve’s big day and to tick another amazing venue off my “done list”. I can’t wait to go back to Smeetham Hall Barn again sometime. I hope this small section of images will go some way to show what at brilliant day it was….
