On Sunday June 3rd I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Jess & Kristain at Chippenham Park.
If you believe in fate you’ll have absolutely no doubt that these two were meant to be together. They would never have met if hadn’t been for that infamous volcanic eruption (Eyjafjallajökull) in 2010. The one that grounded over 95,000 flights over the course of a 6 day flight ban. As a result they met at at an airport where they were stuck – unable to get to Turkey where they were headed and ended up chatting away. The rest is history….
Fast forward 8 years and they were about to tie the knot. I was introduced to Jess by step mum Heather from Heather Jackson Photography. A recommendation from a fellow professional is always lovely but knowing I would be shooting her step-daughter’s wedding, that’s extra special! No pressure on me then!!
I got to know the couple well during their pre-wedding shoot at Holkham. I https://doughertys-ravens.com/dapoxetine-analogs-and-substitutes.htm knew then that photographing their wedding would be a breeze. Whilst they might tell me they don’t like being in front of the camera they do remarkably well, and if they are shy in any way they disguise it brilliantly. I think the simple secret is to forget about me and just enjoy those moments you get to spend together on your wedding day.
It was a great day with a great bunch of friends and family. Most of Kristain’s family came down from Scotland while Jess’ family came from up the road in Wisbech. I enjoyed talking to Kristain’s dad, a keen photographer himself and I noticed he had his camera out later in the day. Photographing at Chippenham park is always a treat, it’s fab venue with the outdoor ceremony option, not forgetting the lakes, gardens and the hall itself. On a beautiful sunny June day as this was it was perfect. With Robert Gough the magician there to entertain everyone and a bit of ceilidh dancing later in the evening there was something for everyone to enjoy. And plenty of photo opportunities for me!
Wishing Jess & Kristain all the very best for the future as a husband and wife. I hope you enjoy this selection of images from a fantastic day……
