On Saturday 23rd February I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Robert & Ashley.
I doubt I’ll ever shoot a wedding quite as close to home as this one. Robert & Ashley live about 70 metres from me and they decided to hold the ceremony at the village hall just around the corner. I was delighted when they asked me to shoot their special day.
And a special day it certainly was. Full of laughter, emotion and joy, surrounded by all the colours of the gay rainbow. The day started at a lovely B&B in March and then it was off to The Anchor pub (the boys local) to meet up with all the guests. From there it was just a short walk to the village hall. After a lovely service and afternoon tea it was off to HMP Whitemoor social club for a chip supper, drinks and dancing. Perfect!
