On Sunday April 28th I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Michelle & Mark at Bassmead Manor Barns near St Neots.
The popular saying is you wait all day for a bus then two come along at once. Well the last time I shot a wedding at Bassmead it was April 2010. Nine years later and I photographed two in a fortnight. This was the first and it was worth the wait. The venue has changed a lot over the years, so much so I hardly recognised it. I got there an hour earlier than I need to so I could do a recce and work out and all the good spots!
Michelle and Mark are a lovely couple and they were joined by a great group of family and friends. They all made me feel very welcome and were great fun to be around. The highlight of the day for me was the surprise signing waiter. He had everyone up and dancing and the conga around the gardens was great fun to photograph. I found my foot tapping away while my hands and eyes did the photography thing!
