On Saturday 13th April I had the honour of photographing the wedding of Nichola & Matthew at Belton Woods near Grantham.
Nichola & Matthew are the second couple this year who live just round the corner from me. So I was honoured when these two lovely fellow-villagers chose me to shoot their big day.
Belton Woods is a great venue. I’d done a few wedding fairs there over the years but this was my first time shooting an actual wedding. Being a golf course there are plenty of good spots for photos, although it’s best not to ask the bride and groom to walk down the fairway just as a fourball are waiting to tee off!
Nichola and Matthew’s big day was a lovely occasion with a fantastic couple and a great bunch of family and friends. For me the day ended in style with a spectacular fireworks display, something I always enjoy shooting. Wishing Nichola and Mathhew all the very best for the future, I often bump into Matthew outside the village shop so I’m sure I’ll see you there soon!
